Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview, “I do remember waking up in handcuffs in the back of a police car.”

Nicholas kicked his neighbor’s door while looking for his dog on March 17. He was later arrested for felony vandalism. That night he admits he had blackouts from mixing sleeping pills with beer.

Police had to restrain him with a Taser. As RadarOnline.com first reported, he said it was like being punched by Rocky Balboa.

Brendon, who played Xander on the popular TV vampire series, said “when you wake up from your stupor and fog, it’s a blessing to realize that did happen, that was bad, but you didn’t kill anybody.”

Brendon, who was in alcohol rehab once before in 2005, says “I knew at that moment when I realized that I was arrested, I needed to go get help again.”

The day after the arrested, the 38-year-old checked himself in the SOBA Recovery Center in Malibu. Two months later, he is now living full-time in SOBA, a sober living community.

“I knew that I had to stop, I knew that I couldn’t do it anymore. And there is a part of me that knows this is my last chance.”

Brendon is focusing on his recovery and his work on the hit CBS show Criminal Minds and two animated films.
