America’s favorite octogenarian is busier than ever and talking about the sudden loss of her long-time friend Rue McClanahan, how she almost turned down the SNL gig and how she stays healthy.

The late Golden Girls star’s digs have hit the market at an asking price of $2.25 million, less than two weeks after the actress died from a massive stroke at 76, RadarOnline.com has learned.

McClanahan, who played the man-crazed Blanche Deveraux on the popular NBC sitcom, lived in a three-bedroom co-op on East 56th Street that was well-decorated with knickknacks.
Betty White On Rue McClanahan's Death: "It Hurts More Than I Ever Thought"
The dwelling had a bit of Blanche's risqué charm to it, such as the office door, which is sculptured to look as though a naked woman is emerging, with a doorknob in the shape of a hand.
From inside the office, you see her backside.
And there’s a door disguised as a spice rack that leads to a bathroom behind the kitchen — and a secret passageway!
The residence, which is listed with Steven Marvisch of Brown Harris Stevens, also features a 1,600-square-foot private garden.

"She said to me, 'I want this to feel like this is home,' "Gail Kennedy, Ms. McClanahan's live-in attendant, told the New York Times.
"And I think she really strived to make it feel like home to everybody."
McClanahan's death leaves Betty White as the sole surviving Golden Girl, as Beatrice Arthur died in 2009, while Estelle Getty died in 2008.

Golden Girls actress Rue McClanahan died at 76 as result of a massive stroke early Thursday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The Emmy-winning actress was born in Oklahoma, the daughter of a beautician and a building contractor. She had a prolific career on the stage and screen, best known for her portrayal of man-crazed Southern belle Blanche Deveraux on the hit NBC 80s sitcom, which is still popular in reruns.
She told the NY Times in 1985 that the Golden Girls, a show about four elderly women living together in Miami, was aimed at proving "that when people mature, they add layers. They don't turn into other creatures. The truth is we all still have our child, our adolescent, and your young woman living in us."

Golden Girls vamp and longtime Bea Arthur-costar Rue McClanahan has released an exclusive statement to RadarOnline regarding the death of her dear friend. "Thirty-seven years ago she showed me how to be very brave in comedy. I'll miss that courage and I'll miss that voice," she says. Arthur passed away this morning due to complications from cancer in her Brentwood, Ca. home. McClanahan and Arthur cated side by side for seven years on Golden Girls, with Betty White and Estelle Getty.
