Hard Work For Jake Gyllenhaal
Posted on Sep 05, 2009 @ 08:02AM - 1 comment

Jake Gyllenhaal may be one of the most gorgeous men in Hollywood but that didn't stop him from dropping a pretty penny on beauty products Friday afternoon in Los Angeles. Keeping his face looking young and smooth is part of the job, after all.
He'll need that and then some for his next acting assignment. Later this month Jake is off to Pittsburgh, PA to start production on Love and Other Drugs. The film is based on the memoir "Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman" and reunites him with Anne Hathaway - the two last worked together on Brokeback Mountain.

Ashley Greene owned her place as the most stylish Twilight-er, donning an off-the-shoulder floral print Max Azria mini-dress (that will retail for $158 -- hitting stores this December.) Aside from the fuchsia Sergio Rossi clutch, Greene accessorized the busy frock minimally and appropriately.
Also frantic for fuchsia was Kristen Bell, a colorful vision in an oversized-ruffle-collar belted dress, making for a Gossip Girl-like standout look.
Taking a more simple approach for the fashion mag fete, teen-beat Hairspray songstress Amanda Bynes wore a two-tone Pencey strapless cummerbund dress.
Year One beauty Olivia Wilde worked a J. Mendel chiffon dress perfectly befitting for summer, accessorizing in a classic way with a black clutch and peep-toe heels.
Looking like a young Scarlett Johansson, Amber Heard rocked designer of the moment, Alexander Wang, in a white skeleton shoulder top with a similarly inspired black skirt. Our verdict: super-trendy, but not overdone.
In the fashion capital, never-one to miss out on an edgy-look opportunity, Big Love's Chloe Sevigny sported a full-length Proenza Schouler leather, belted jumpsuit for the 9th edition of A Magazine event. Shapely Kelly Ripa lived up to her high-stylin' reputation in a striped pencil skirt, navy tank, and cagey platforms while running around the Big Apple, and Anne Hathaway hit our Radar with her $1,775 (and worth every penny!) turquoise Chanel "Bubble Quilt" bag.

Style Radar: Faboo or Faux Pas? All About Individuality!

Edgy designer fashions were the name of the game Thursday night, with stars stepping out across the globe in flirty pricey frocks accentuating their individual styles.
In head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, Fergie turned it out in Milan to support the label's runway show in a strong-shouldered, ruched, ruffled-hem number teamed with gold ankle-strap platforms. Also in Europe, Sandra Bullock attended a photocall sporting a very classic Michael Kors pintucked belted dress and spiced it up with sky-high Azzedine Alaia pumps.
In New York City at the Swarovski Crystallized Concept store grand opening, Evan Rachel Wood went man-chic-tastic in an avante garde Gucci getup, Lucy Liu paired a red cape frock with a matching patent belt, and Gossip Girl Blake Lively sizzled in a stark white Roberto Cavalli long-sleeve mini-dress.
Blake's more gossiped about costar Leighton Meester was spotted running around Manhattan in a Thakoon print dress and fiesty Christian Louboutin lace-up booties.
Anne Hathaway was the best dressed of the night, in a gold Marchesa strapless and tiered organza dress.
