Gerard Butler Details His Heavy Boozing Past ‘I Didn’t Care If I Died’

Gerard Butler has certainly come a long way since hitting bottom and giving up booze!

The Scottish actor, whose blackout drinking destroyed his career ambitions to become a lawyer in his twenties, explains why he quit drinking and how he got his life back together just in time to become an internationally known actor in an extensive new interview.

“I had gone from a 16-year-old who couldn’t wait to grasp life to a 22-year-old who didn’t care if he died in his sleep,” the actor revealed to Chris Sullivan of The Red Bulletin about his heavy drinking.

Butler, who was working as a trainee at an Edinburgh law firm during the time, explains that his drinking got him fired from the job.

Jen Aniston turns 43 today, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her. The actress who was recently named the sexiest woman of all time works hard to maintain the body of someone much younger.

“I work out almost every day, at least five or six days a week,” she told InStyle. “I do 40 minutes of cardio: spinning, running, the elliptical, or a combination of all three. Then I do Pilates one day a week, and I do yoga in addition to that, three days a week. I try to mix it up.

"I take 8 pound weights with me whenever I’m staying in a hotel." she added. "It’s always good to do arm exercises when you’re watching television or talking on the phone. I also love to stretch before I go to bed, and usually throw in a couple of sit-ups.”

It was a battle of the best dressed for Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie!  Brad Pitt’s former and current flames managed to avoid each other by attending separate awards shows, but they couldn’t avoid a style showdown. While Jen hit the DGA Awards with her beau Justin Theroux in a sliver of a Dolce & Gabbana dress, Celine heels, a Ferragamo clutch and Fred Leighton bling, Angie dominated the SAG Awards in a gorgeously draped, liquid black Jenny Packham halter gown.

Leave it to Coco to sport barely-legal style on Good Morning America! The reality show star and wife of rapper/actor Ice-T left little to the imagination on Thursday in New York, donning beyond skintight spandex pants with an equally snug pink sweater.

As for wacky, Icelandic singer Bjork failed to go under the radar at The Colbert Report in NYC, dressed in a cocoon-like coat, lunar hued tights, a purple dress and bizarre booties, finishing off the zany look with a brightly embroidered scarf wrapped around her head.
