Jillian Michaels became a mother of two earlier this month when she finalized the adoption of her daughter and her partner gave birth to a son, because she says the yearning to adopt was something that couldn't be denied any longer.
It was a two-year process to bring Lukensia home from Haiti — but she first began the adoption process through the Democratic Republic of the Congo and after her admission paperwork expired, she refused to give up on adoption and applied in Haiti.
“Adoption is a calling. There is something in you that can’t be denied," Jillian, 38, told People magazine.
"You just know in the deepest part of your being that you are meant to find this little soul and guide them through life.”

Sean Penn may sometimes be the most unpopular man in Hollywood but he got people to part with huge money for the opportunity to travel with him to Haiti.
Penn was the main draw at an auction fundraiser for Haiti he helped organize as part of the Cannes Film Festival. Penn's on-again-off-again-on-again girlfriend Petra Nemcova, and Oscar-winning writer/director Paul Haggis, who have also been activists for Haiti's recovery, were at the podium with him.
One item up for grabs was the chance to spend three days in Haiti with Penn.
