Here's an exclusive first look at Choke, actor-turned-director Clark Gregg's adaptation of the best-selling Chuck Palahniuk novel. A wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of Colonial theme parks, Choke is the story of Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Angelica Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by playing an Irish indentured servant in a colonial-era theme park. At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who "save" him. In this scene from the movie—in theaters September 26th—Victor has an unusual conversation with Dr. Marshall (Kelly McDonald), at the hospital where his mother resides.
