Ok, not checking an applicant's qualifications is one thing when you are hiring truck drivers and dish washers, but to hire translators based soley and their claim that they have the skills is ridiculous. The government outsources (supposedly) because it is cheaper than spending all that money to train someone so that they are qualified for the job. But the result of that outsourcing is that people are hired who aren't trained at all! So they get over there and can't really do the job which, in the end, not only costs more money but also costs peoples lives. What a scam! This is an important issue and I hope that Mr. Langan is able to bring more attention to this problem.
