C'mon people! Al Gore won the popular vote with 49,000,000 (Forty-nine MILLION) voters in 2000... and six years later, despite ALL the outrages and atrocities of the Bush-GOP-co,, we "liberals" and Dems have NO media outlet that can be reliably counted on to carry our voices, hopes, and demands for relevant information?

This is the most PATHETIC situation I have ever seen! Of course the top-tier Democratic "leaders" - the Bidens and Kerrys and Bayhs and leibermans and even Hillary - are more interested in talking with big donors than they are with fighting the pay-to-play donor-lobbyist machine. (See any of Dave Sirota's posts, either at his own blog or at HuffingtonPost.com.)

But also don't forget... IT WAS THE NADERITES and "GREENS" who helped 'give" us this Bush-GOP nightmare government! I consider Nader criminally negligent for not going to Texas with a video camera to highlight (then Gov. Bush's) atrocious environmental policies, but the bottom line is that the Nader-Greens PREFERED to bash Gore than go after the all-too-clear record of GWB, so not only were 49,000,000 Americans DISENFRANCHISED by the Supreme Court (et al) in 2000, but six years later it is ONLY the gross incompetence and corruption of the Bush-GOP which unites "the left."

I don't go for a minute for those "planted explosives" stories about 9-11, which, as usual (like Greenies complaining about some damn fish Gore didn't do enough to protect) DISTRACT from the obvious scandal, Bush prefering Republican partisan_photo-op_FUNDRAISERS in the summer of 2001 to paying attention to CIA, FBI, DIA, (which ran a simulated airplane crash into the Pentagon), Egyptian secret police, Italian police, et al warning that Al Qaida wanted to hijack a US airliner. In this case the "conspiracy fringe" is trying to DETRACT from the plain-jane obvious scandal, with their overinflated hype about planted explosives, but more generally, the liberal/Dem side of the media message ALWAYS gets waylaid and derailed, either by the left, the right, or the inability to make mundane issues (like prescription drugs for seniors) exciting enough to pay attention to. (By comparison, the Limbaugh/Fox 'news' Righties are ALWAYS primed to HATE someone or something, and RIghty talk-radio and TV just keeps them humming along in tune and in time.)
