Huh? Your basic premise doesn't stand up. Who says the Eagles are bad? Not too many people, actually. The Eagles, from many points of view, are one of the top rock bands--critically, popularly, concert-wise, album-wise, consistency-wise--in rock history. In fact, The Eagles Greatest Hits is the No. 1 selling album in U.S. history. Their comeback tour was one of the most-attended and biggest-selling tours of that era. Their albums have actually been critically praised. They influenced a generation of young country and rock and rock-pop singers, songwriters and bands. They are simply an excellent band. Additionally, there's lots of folks out there who enjoy New York magazine, as well.
