Posted by: smegginhell on September 21, 2007 5:48 PM Here is your "fake bomb" that warranted automatic weapons and felony charges: What a joke... Posted by: smegginhell on September 21, 2007 5:45 PM I didn't say anything about being able to tell it was play-doh. They found out afterwards that's what it was. However, if I saw a girl with a clever shirt on playing with a ball of what looked like putty, my first reaction would not be "oh my god it's a terrorist, she has a bomb. Obviously that is plastic explosive in her hand, she's here to kill us all!". Like I said, the police did what they were trained to do. It's probably the dumb cunt that called the police in the first place that overreacted. However, once they realized this girl posed no threat, they should have let her go! It's ridiculous to file charges against her. It's like the police felt kinda stupid for their reaction, pointing automatic weapons at an innocent young student. You know that reaction some people have when they're made to look stupid-they get angry and want to make the people who made them feel stupid pay. That's what's going on here. They're pissed off at her, so they're gonna file "fake bomb" charges and try to fuck with her. At least it sounds like she got a reasonable judge, and hopefully the charges will be lessened or dropped. The worse she deserves is probation and community service, not prison time, or as some of the fucking idiots on here have said "a bullet in the head". Fuck those guys, you're a disgrace as an American if you actually believe this girl deserved a fucking bullet. Posted by: smegginhell on September 21, 2007 3:55 PM This is a freakin' joke. Complete overreaction by the City of Boston, again! These are the same people who shut down the city over lite brites (the whole Aqua Teen Hunger Force guerrilla marketing scheme that was blown out of proportion in Boston months ago. Every other major city in the US had those lite-brite type advertisements, but because they actually pay attention to the TV shows their teenagers watch, they knew what the freakin' things were.) This poor girl was held at gun point because she had a clever shirt on. It was a computer circuit board on the front, with text on the back that said "Sock it to me". She was playing with Play-doh for Christ's sake. Because this innocent girl wore a shirt that your average, computer-ignorant person wouldn't get, she now faces possible prison time! It wasn't a fake bomb, it was a freakin' computer circuit board. People are so scared of things that they are ignorant of, it's ridiculous. Yes, she probably practiced poor judgment in wearing that shirt to an airport, but you know what, the thought probably never crossed her mind that it would be seen as a bomb. To computer savvy people like her and I, a simple computer circuit board is completely innocent and non-threatening. Are we saying that there are different laws and freedoms, simply because you are near or in an airport? This is just another case of people in law enforcement overreacting. I understand they have a job to do, and maybe their initial reaction to secure the scene and make sure there was no threat was right. However, once they had the girl in custody, and realized they were the ones making a mistake, she should have been released with an apology, not put in jail, facing charges with up to five years in prison. This bright and intelligent girl (a freakin' MIT student, she obviously is doing something right), who may just be a little different than the "norm". But now due to a simple misunderstanding and blatant overreaction, she now faces a bleak future. Total bullshit. Posted by: smegginhell on September 21, 2007 2:41 PM |

Okay, they don't seem to like links to pictures on this site... look for the update version of this report on here and see the picutre of the shirt see was wearing.... the circuit board is tiny, with a 9v battery hanging off the side and a small light.... Yeah, if I saw that I'd be terrified!
