Whilst I agree with the author's criticism of my country, its empire and the flag which it flew (the Butchers apron!) I feel that it is a shame our nations continue to throw mud at each other instead of acknowledging the fantastic achievements made my the British Empire, and now in more recent times the phenomenal scientific and technological contribution America has made to the world. I would much rather read that book.
