Oh please. The reason McCain's cooked is that he's batshit crazy. Having bought on to Bush's Iraq policy and inane "war on terra" he's now raving about Cuba and Venezuela as terrible threats to the US and world peace. He always was a reactionary; now he's a nutjob reactionary. Good riddance.

He's gone home to Jayzus, praise the lord.

Actually, no, he's just worm food. Hope the worms don't get too ill from ingesting his foul carcass.

Yuppie journalism for self-satisfied yuppies like Moss, nothing more.

In the early 90s, a member of ACT UP's media committee brought Moss to a Monday night meeting of the AIDS activist organization. Moss was obviously discomfited by all these rowdy, angry and radical gays and lesbians -- not his crowd at all. He edits New York for people like him.

Hey bal1254 -- go fuck yourself!
Sanchez is a right-wing Republican who made gay porno movies and now denies he was ever gay and supports the vile, homophobic Bush regime. He's a hypocrite and a total scumbag. You're obviously a homophobic scumbag yourself. And one with a "disease" -- terminal stupidity.

Why in the world should this interview have been respectful?" The guy's a twisted scumbag who deserves nothing but contempt.

Glad to see the takedown of Stanley, who is a joke. But you missed her tenure as the Times' Italy correspondent, in which capacity she was consistently awful. "Oh, those Italian mothers want their kids to have nutritious lunches at school -- isn't that hilarious, these comical Italians!" She's a glib, shallow smart-ass (Virginia Heffernan suffers from the same condition)and an all-around hack.

You can call Edwards "boringly charming" if you like, but he's staked out positions to the left of either Hillary the opportunist and boring centrist and pabulum-spewing Obama. Sharpton, by the way, was absolutely right about Obama -- there's no substance there, just image.

Great, if depressing piece. Lying liars and scumbags like Goldberg (formerly of the Israeli Defense Forces), the insufferable Brooks, "liberal" war cheerleader and all around fool Friedman, useful (Muslim) idiot Zakaria (and Jon Stewart should be ashamed of himself for giving this knave a platform)-- these turds continue to prosper and spew their garbage while righteous folks like Schell, Scheer and Ritter are marginalized. "Liberal media" --yeah, right.

You do a story on 10 ethnic stereotypes and leave out one of the most enduring -- that of Italians and Italian Americans as gangsters? Here we have an entire ethnic group, one of the ten largets in the United States, that has been depicted almost entirely in stereotypical terms in pop culture and you fail to notice? Italian American anti-defamation groups have been protesting this stereotype for decades. I think a lot of the protests are overblown, and I enjoy the best, most artistic mafia films and TV shows. But even I get fed up with seeing people of my ethnicity consistently depicted as sociopathic killers and low-class boors.
