Hi!
I just wanted to clear up that Chantal Kreviazuk has since apologized for claiming Avril stole one of her songs...
She sent Avril a song called 'Contagious' a couple years ago and then THOUGHT Avril used it on her newest CD (when she saw the list of songs on it) without giving her credit as a writer.
But actually the two songs are completely different except for the title.
I actually have a blog about Avril Lavigne (Just looked today and it's #1 on Yahoo.com when you search for: avril lavigne blog. It even beats out Av's own Myspace blog! *smile*), and wrote a post about this lawsuit.
"Hey hey you you" has been used lots of times before, and a more famous band called The Ramones wrote a song titled "I wanna be your boyfriend" (same as the Rubinoos title) just 3 years before they did!
My post has videos to show these and other similarities, along with a link to Avril's own comments about this lawsuit and the song theft claims by Chantal.

Thanks! :)
