Usually quick to slap up pics of its bird-flipping, swimsuit-posing editrixes, Gawker is suddenly shy about posting a shot of its newest team member, Maggie Shnayerson. Managing editor Choire Sicha explains the reasoning in the Manhattan media blog's comments sections: "Lack of photo is an intentional omission. MAYBE you'll get a photo in a month or two. I want you to read her for her sharp mind and wit, not her (probably exquisite!) rack. (Ooh, look, I'm a femiladyist!)"
Fortunately, there's Facebook [reg. req.]. 'Cause, if we had that kind of attention span, why would we be reading Gawker?
Welcome, Maggie!
