Alright, well: the Sarah Palin speech! You know what? It was pretty good! It was certainly well received! (And, despite everything you heard about her having to give "the speech of her life," it was always going to be.) Let's just stipulate at the outset: the Alaska governor did a great job. That Midwestern accent which signals authenticity and down-to-earthness is going to be a major asset to her campaign, as will her amazingly photogenic family. (The baby-licking was adorable.)
