Until this afternoon, Bono and U2 had been planning to erect the tallest building in Dublin, Ireland. Unfortunately, even megastars can't always get what they want.
The design of the 400 foot tall tower was a triangle with an egg-shaped structure on top, which would have housed a recording studio for the supergroup and other artists.
Though the Dublin Docklands Development Authority still wants to build the so-called U2 Tower, the faltering economy has forced them to put the project on indefinite hold.
