Hilary Duff has agreed to star in a new NBC series.
Duff will meet with NBC scribes and "comb through" their catalog for "the right project."
The 1-year talent and development deal will allow NBC to develop a show starring Duff. She will also be making guest appearances on various current NBC shows.
NBC exec VP Teri Weinberg said Duff's "huge following" led to NBC's lucrative decision.
Duff first hit the big time as star of the Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire.
Her Metamorphosis album has sold more than 2 million copies.
