Okkervil River is the best band ever? Better than Arctic Monkeys? And Interpol? When people are waiting 40 minutes for a dollop of Pinkberry, and blindly buying into the next big thing like a herd of sheep on Klonopin, a correction is clearly in order. This is great and really funny. It's about time someone called these dreadful people and things out.
Especially Oprah....And Cupcakes.
It seems you guys forgot to include Sofia Coppola on your list of the overrated. Talk about vapid and self-indulgent - what is all the hype, especially over films like Lost in Translation ? Nothing happens for almost two hours. How is anyone supposed to connect to her films ? The only people I know who can understand them are generally wealthy vapid and self-indulgent themselves. Next year, she'll still be overrated, so don't forget to include her on your list !
I think the only people that vote FOR cats being over rated/hyped, are people that haven't yet realized that cats are smarter then themselves. They are also people that probably have a domineering mate, and hate the fact that cats really could care less about following their human's rules.

You know what's overrated by about 4 decades...flat-assed white bitches. I'd like to see less of THAT on a frickin magazine cover for once...
