Nielsen, the folks who track everything from your TV habits to the books you buy to how you secretly shave your shoulders, has released a year-end list to end all year-end lists. The Most Popular Lists for 2006 compiles the year's biggest shows, movies, videos, downloads, ringtones, and just about any other consumable media you can imagine.
What jumped out at us, though, was the Top 10 Cited Wikipedia Entries, especially since this is the year "You" and your Internet habits became Person of the Year. Herewith, your most cited Wikipedia entries:
• Web 2.0
• Steve Irwin
• Mark Foley Scandal
• Blog
• Ajax
• World War II
• Snakes on a Plane
• Meme
• Wiki
• RSS
So, what does this say about us in 2006? That we're nerds. Big, big nerds.
