CARREYING ON Jim

Jim Carrey has picked an awfully strange time to start doling out life advice. The Dumb & Dumber star is writing a self-help book, entitled, Be Ready to Be OK. His comments about the book, which so far lacks a publisher and drop date, will be featured on E! tonight.

"[It's] just my thoughts about different things, you know. It will be very revealing about what I believe," he tells reporter Guilianna DePandi, according to an E! press release. "The idea of that is accurate, that most things we get upset about in life can be avoided if we just went in ready to be okay when things happen. 'Okay, I'm getting in the car right now so chances are I could hit some traffic. Be ready to be okay with that. Deal with it.'"
