Oprah acolyte Lisa Ling has launched a new blog, and one of her new blog employees thought it might be nice to get political blogger and frequent Howard Stern guest Debbie Schlussel to give it a plug. Not a great idea. As this lengthy email shows, Schlussel finds Ling to be the embodiment of all that is wrong with the world, including Islamic extremism, Fidel Castro, Oprah and The View. Schlussel is especially not impressed with Ling's former gig on the televised hen party, and suspects that she "only got the job in the first place because she was the only panelist who agreed to get her belly-button pierced and engage in a lesbian kiss with Meredith Vieira." Schlussel closed out her e-mail by knocking Ling's "pan-terrorist 'journalism'" and reiterating her opposition to "this execrable woman's blog." Here's to hoping that this feud somehow finds its way onto Ling's poetry page.
