Well, I think everybody should calm down a bit, after all Mr Mulhill clearly stated that these bots sexuality is ambiguous, which by it's very meaning implies that it can only be guessed based on perceptions. What it really shows is just how skewed the author's perceptions really are.

After all robots don't have sexuality per sè, they may have the resemblance of gendered personalities based on the traits imprinted on them but sexuality is a lot more than just a bunch of attitudes and mannerisms.

I think the epitome of the author's skewedness can be seen in his interpretation of C3PO and R2, I always thought of them more as a cybernetic version of the odd couple than anything else, but this guy just thinks that two guys can't become friends to a level of bonding based on their common experiences that makes them almost brothers.

Well I think that robots just have personality, remember "they are robots", and humans create robots, they dont go to a hotel room and ....
They dont need to reproduce themself, humans do, they just dont.

First of all, why make such a big issue on who is or not gay, bi, trans and so forth. Why make it such big news. I believe it is not anybody's concern what goes on in other people's personal lives. I for one personally do not care. To each their own. "Coming out of the closet" has become a trendy thing nowadays.

Writing articles like these is a waste of time, intelligence, morality and values. There are so many meaningful subjects to write about. I never visualized C3PO and R2 as being "gay", when I was a child I saw them as just being buddies. Even as an adult I see them as buddies. I think each person interprets the world as who they are as if the world was a huge mirror.

Evan, write something more meaningful. The world needs something different for once. Use your noodles.
