Lamar Odom has proven that you’re never too old – or too famous – to want your parents to see you shoot some hoops.

The Clippers player was delighted when his dad Joe Odom turned up at his team’s first public training session of the season, and RadarOnline.com has the touching photos.

Father and son had a touching moment on Wednesday night and Lamar even posed for pictures with his dad, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

An eyewitness tells RadarOnline.com: “Lamar was so happy to see his father at the game and hugged and kissed him both on the court and backstage in the locker room area.

“The entire Clipper's team also greeted Joe and he took pictures with Grant Hill, Chris Paul and a slew of other players.

“It was a real special, father-son bonding moment.”

Lamar, 32, has had a bumpy relationship with his father who has battled a heroin addiction over the years. But they have become closer recently, especially since the basketball player married reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

According to our source Joe was up to his colorful self, saying: “And in true form, Joe was begging for some Clipper's swag and Lamar hooked him up with a few jerseys and he also got a pair of cool sneakers too.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, earlier this year Joe was suffering from a serious undisclosed illness, but denied reports that he was at death’s door.

He said: “I’m doing a lot better. But I’m depressed right now. I’m getting some rest.”
