Halloween is still a few days away but the celebrations began early this weekend with the stars going out of their way to pull off a frightening array of fun and fearful costumes and RadarOnline.com has the photos.

From mermaids and butterflies to vampires and vixens Hollywood did Halloween proud with many a hitched up hemline and a painted pout.

Jessica Alba and her family took a kid friendly approach by going as Disney's The Incredibles, as the actress, her husband Cash Warren and their two children, Honor and Haven were guests at Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale's Halloween bash in Santa Monica where the hosts took on a slightly more sinister theme.

The No Doubt singer and her hubby went as vampires, with the ever stylish Stefani quite literally vamping up her attire with hot pants and fishnets for a sexy approach.

On the other side of town the theme for Christina Aguilera's revealing outfit was unclear.

The 31-year-old songstress wore a big pink wig, tiara and a sexy black ensemble which could barely contain her curves. Her boyfriend, Matt Rutler, was dressed as a knight in not-so-shiny-armor ready to fight off any unwanted attention at the party at her Beverly Hills mansion.

Paris Hilton appropriately - but not surprisingly - spiced up what looked like a sexy butterfly outfit with a pair of stockings as her and her beau River Viiperi hit up the Playboy Mansion.

In New York City Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Kayne West went down the naughty nautical route dressing as a sexy mermaid and sea captain.

But the winner of the most original outfit, we think goes to Josh Duhamel and Fergie who were barely recognizable as local Hollywood celebrities Angelyne and Dennis Woodruff.
