Oprah Lists Her Stunning New York City Penthouse For $7.9 Million: Take A Peek Inside

Oprah Winfrey has placed her stunning New York City penthouse apartment for sale and RadarOnline.com can bring you all the photos, courtesy of our friends at Zillow.com.
Back in 2008 it was reported that Oprah’s best buddy, Gayle King had purchased the 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath apartment, but after a little digging it was revealed that the talk show queen herself had bought it, for a cool $7.1 million.

It’s unclear as to whether either Gayle or Oprah actually ever lived there, but, fast forward three years and the pricey pad is back on the market, for $7.9 million.
Oprah’s penthouse sits on the 36th floor of a Manhattan apartment block, named Place 57, and comprises of 2,530 square feet of wall-to-ceiling windowed space as well as a 768-square-foot terrace with breathtaking views of the city.
The apartment has a triangular shaped living room, a modern and sleek kitchen equipped with every modern gadget you could hope for, a separate dining area and two bedrooms. The master suite has three walk-in closets, a jetted tub and a sleek shower.

Not surprisingly, given her immense wealth, Winfrey is the owner of several high end properties. In addition to the New York penthouse she also owns a huge estate in tony Montecito, CA., a plantation in Hawaii, a duplex in downtown Chicago and houses and condos in Douglasville, GA., Franklin, TN. and Elmwood Park, Il.
If you fancy taking on Oprah’s pad you better be prepared to pay a hefty monthly mortgage. According to Zillow, with 20 percent down on the property a 30 year mortgage would cost you a whopping $29,115 a month.

Sleek Kitchen? With every gadget imaginable? I don't think do. Did radar make that description up or the realtor? Maybe that's the wet bar we are seeing.

I don't mean to be racist, but if a black woman lived there, the price would drop about 2 or 3 million. I mean, would you want to live in a place where alternative lifestyle, minority people visited? You'd be cleaning up crack pipes for years!
