Little Zahara Jolie-Pitt recently debuted a new look, showing off a full head of long hair extensions.

However, at just six years old, she is far too young to be wearing braided hair extensions, a leading hairstylist has warned.

Celebrity groomer DaRico Jackson tells RadarOnline.com that Angelina Jolie’s daughter should not be putting such a strain on her tender locks.

“If Angelina wants Zahara to be in touch with her roots and have her hair braided then she can do that with the child’s own hair and she doesn’t need to add extensions,” Jackson stated.

“She is far too young for that and Angelina is creating insecurity in the little girl that what she has is not good enough.

“Growing up with siblings who have long flowing hair, Zahara may grow to feel that her own natural hair is not pretty enough, and that without the fake hair she is not beautiful. She should be made to embrace who she is.”

Jackson added that in his opinion Angelina would be better off having Zahara’s natural hair plaited which can still give her some respite from daily combing and brushing.

“There are many cute styles that Zahara can have without adding fake hair at such a tender age,” Jackson said.

Having lots of kids doesn't make someone a good mother (look at Kate Gosselin!). First she allows a tomboy to actually become a boy full time, now she's trying to make Zahara appear more like her with the long hair. I see problems in the future.

To the early responder, I too feel that baby girl Zaharia is not happy. In all the pictures that I have seen of her in the company of her new family, she always looks very sullen. I pray for her and all those kids. GOD BLESS!

I think Zahara should be allowed to grow her self esteem thru her true beauty - not added fake stuff. I have never seen a picture where this little girl looks happy. I believe she is reclusive by nature and finds the attention a strain.

The little girl had nappy hair, and Angelina did the right thing by giving the child a more civilized appearance.

(so sick of the popup ads) Both AJ and Z look, well, not happy. It probably hurts Z to have that much weight pulling on her hair. Ouch. Tell her she is beautiful just as she is - she'll never look like her adopted mom, Angie.

from Maddox to to their 1st born--these children
are WELL opinionated and VOICE their OWN DESIRES on dress and style. It's not my business but I just had to add MY opinion.
