Angelina Jolie's Kids Ask Her, 'Why Aren't You & Dad Married Like Shrek & Fiona?'

When it comes to why mom and dad aren't married, Brad Pitt's and Angelina Jolie's six kids aren't ignoring the elephant -- or should we say, big green ogre? -- in the room.

"They have asked, yeah, because they see movies and people get married in the movies," Jolie tells Monday's edition of Nightline. "Shrek and Fiona are married, you know?

"We've explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have," Jolie, 36, said regarding her brood: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

"Once you have six children,” she said, “you're committed."

Jolie joked she asked the kids if they were nudging her in the direction of the altar "just because they wanted to have a big cake."

I think the reason some don't marry, even tho they live together for decades, is a desire to maintain their hold of "freedom." No legal paper, they have an out in the back of their minds.

That skank has been telling this bs ever since those oldest kids were toddlers, not to mention how young the smaller ones were. She needs to concentrate on putting that poor little Shiloh in a dress and quit dressing her like a boy.

If angie goes belly up for any reason her dad would have sole decision making in whether or not she's taken care of properly by the hospital and how to delegate her assets to her children or not. Brad would have zero say

actually people get married for the benefits (andyes the tradition and feeling of ownership).. you get tax breaks when married.. you get priviledges like seeing your spouse in the hospital when they are sick and in death transfer is much easier

LOL.."once you have six kids you're committed".....is Angie for real?? That's the biggest bunch of BS I have heard in a long time. Ask Jon and Kate? Wonder which kid will be the first to turn to drugs?
