Angelina Jolie All Smiles With Dad Jon Voight At Film Premiere

Jon Voight was a proud papa of Angelina Jolie Thursday night, joining his director daughter and her partner Brad Pitt at the Hollywood premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey, her debut behind-the-lens, and RadarOnline.com has the video and the pics for you.
The father, 72, and daughter, 36, beamed as they shared a close embrace at the ArcLight Cinemas, where the premiere was held. They've been spending more time together in the past two years following a seven-year estrangement which ignited in 2002. It was then the veteran actor said his daughter -- who had just adopted her son Maddox -- had "serious mental problems" in a televised interview.
Jolie, furious with her father, called the comments unforgivable, and did not speak with him again until late 2009.

Jolie and Pitt, 47, matched each other in black at the event, with Angie donning a Romona Keveza dress with Jimmy Choo heels, while hunky Pitt wore a Tom Ford suit and black-rimmed glasses.
The partners, who have six children, headed to an after-party following the unveiling of the movie, which Jolie wrote and directed.
“I’ve always been drawn to war films," the UN goodwill ambassador told USA Today. "I did love directing. If I’m allowed, if I’m accepted, I will do it again. I am still very shy about it.”

Angie's friend Gwen Stefani was also on hand for the premiere of the film.
In the Land of Blood and Honey hits theaters December 23.

Angelina did not speak to her father for many years & rightly so because Voight was a dead-beat dad who did nothinhg to support his ex-wife & children. Glad Angelina made him pay back the child support he OWED!

They attempt to fulfill their lives w/o needing the approval of others, while maintaining a giving & cohesive family & global existence. They are doers, not just decoration.....and they know they will never make people "happy"

Just remember who came out to support you, AJ, next time you get your knickers in a twist because someone dared to try to help you with all those kids. You dad has been there as has Brad's parents. That's what real family does.

By all accounts she has a great relationship with Brad's parents. The fact that she doesn't have a great relationship with her dad doesn't mean that she is a bad person not does it make her all that unique.

They are not married, so he is neither a "hubby" OR "hunky." He's just gross now. No personal hygiene. Yech. And her dad was right in 2002.
