The weak real estate market is even hitting celebrities hard and plummeting house prices have forced actor Beau Bridges to slash the cost of his picturesque California home.

Brother to Jeff Bridges and elder son to Lloyd, Beau first listed the Hidden Hills home in 2010 with an asking price of $3.25 million for the six-bedroom, six-bathroom estate.

Despite its rustic setting, English country garden and close proximity to the heart of Los Angeles, the house didn't attract any buyers, so The Descendants star and his wife have re-listed it at a more ‘affordable’ $2.85 million.

The cozy ranch-style home boasts a billiard room, family room, wet bar and French windows, that look out onto fruit trees, a swimming pool and greenhouse.

Inside, dual stairways lead to the second level offering three en-suite bedrooms, a romantic master suite with warming fireplace, private dressing room, multiple closets and lovely bath, plus a private office with fireplace and wine closet.

Sure are a lot of celebrities selling property. I guess times are tough in H'wood what with all the dreadful movies being made. There had to be a point where indulging themselves with ridiculous movies came to an end and reality set in.
