As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Demi, 49, filed for divorce from her husband of six years on Thursday following his cheating scandal involving San Diego party girl Sara Leal.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.

"This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation," Moore said in a statement to the AP.

Still signing in as Mrs. Kutcher on Twitter, Demi hadn’t tweeted about the divorce announcement at the time of posting.

in marriage you share your body, kids, finances, friends.. home...relatives..its not easy by any means and we dont get a manual..your sort of thrown into it and learn by experience and we lack the support close family used to give in the process
