LeAnn Rimes Is Mom (NOT Stepmom) To Eddie Cibrian’s kids

LeAnn Rimes might have married a father of two kids, but she wants to set the record straight that she is not a “step” mother.
The controversial singer took to her blog to proclaim that when it comes to Eddie Cibrian’s two sons, she’s all “mom.”
“In our house, in our family, we remove the 'step.' We really are all... simply family," the 29-year-old wrote. “Eddie’s sons, I treat as if they are my own.

"Step. Stepmother, Stepfather, Stepchildren -- the word 'step' can take on such a connotation to so many in our society," she said. "A family is a family. In my eyes. There's no 'step' about it."
Just married this past summer, Eddie and LeAnn faced intense scrutiny after they both cheated on their spouses with each other. They divorced after the news became public and LeAnn is now joint carer to Eddie’s two sons, and she sends a zinger to Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

“Eddie has always encouraged me to look at us as a family, and a part of our family are the two beautiful boys that we share with their mother and hopefully one day another wonderful man," she wrote.
"One thing that I know is, I will never replace their mother," she adds. "I would never try. I will however love them with all I have and do everything in my power to help raise them in a loving, safe and proper environment."

If I were to take a guess I would be thinking that eddie already treats her like dirt..he has no respect for her and i am sure he has had thousands before Leanne so she doesnt stand out as special just cause they had an affair.

As a "momtwo" to a wonderful 3 yo that's grown up to a wonderful 22 yo college man, I have to tell Leeann, shut up, being a mom doesn't just last 6 months, it's a LIFETIME obligation, stay out the PARENTS' way and be a PROUD STEP MOM, as you ARE!!

The great thing about kids is their genuineness. The boys cannot fake their feelings toward this woman who
is trying to compete with their mother. She has not a clue about putting them first and it's just a matter of time
before they resent her.

what a terrible thing to get in the middle of someone elses relationships and throwing her weight around like she has..Brandi handles it far better than I could.. all she has personally is what she stole from someone else..she has no life of her own

Talk about confusing the kids!!! The thing that sets you apart is that as a step mom..you can be out of their lives at any moment. As a REAL mom, you are there forever and ever. You are just their daddy's mistress-wife.

Sorry Leann but your way of thinking is wrong. I understand what you mean but you just lead to confusion. Though you are married to their father you have no legal rights to the boys.
