Hours before hanging himself, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Russell Armstrong beat his wife Taylor so badly she was left terrified and sobbing.

Star Magazine has revealed a traumatized Taylor, 40, was so afraid of her husband she took the unusual step of reaching out to friends.

While Taylor had previously hid the abuse, this time she knew she needed help, the magazine has revealed.

According to Star, just 24 hours before he took his own life, Russell lashed out at Taylor after she questioned him about the couple’s shaky financial state.

On August 14, the magazine reports, the altercation exploded into physical violence at Taylor’s Bel Air Crest home, which the estranged couple once shared.

“A distraught (Taylor) called two of her closest friends on the night of August 14, sobbing, ‘Russell hit me’ ” the magazine reports.

My gawd-will Bravo stop at nothing? The airways are being flooded with slander. An abuser? Can't handle his finance? Gay/bi-sexual (does that even matter in LA)? Stopped his anti-depressants? Bravo is running scared..they know they are culpable.

So is she saying that after he beat her to the point where she needed reconstructive surgery, she went back to him all alone & got punched in the face again? Both times she didn't call the cops & the dr didnt call either?

So the med's were not working since it would be an additional 2-weeks before he reportedly stopped taking them.

There does seem to be a disturbing pattern on these shows of wives spending like crazy to keep up with the others and then playing dumb when their finances break down and I'm not buying it (no pun intended).

Who is the a$$hole who keeps blabbing this personal information to the gossip sites? Two of his kids are old enough to read this s**t. Physical abuse is wrong....and so is feeding this information to gossip sites for money.

Don't know what happened, but I know which one is dead. The ultimate abuse is to push someone to feel so desperate that the only solution is to kill themselves.

It's NEVER someone else's fault when a person decides to take their own life you moron. It's people like you that thrive on erroneous stories like this one.

That's a nice cliche that is too often recited and highly inaccurate. The fact is, suicide is always caused by the environment the depressed person is in.

Don't you mean it's caused by there inability to cope with or change the environment that they're in? Some people get in a funk so bad they can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, some don't even want to - they're too tired.
