Robert Downey Jr. and his wife of six years are expecting their first child together, Star magazine is exclusively reporting.

The Iron Man star and wife Susan Downey -- a film producer -- are due in February, and family members say they’re thrilled.

“I think it’s wonderful that she’s pregnant,” Susan’s aunt, Nancy Miller, told Star in an exclusive interview.

“The baby is due in February. Susan’s father, my brother, called me about three weeks ago with the good news. Her parents are over the moon about it.”

Robert, 46, has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from his previous 12-year marriage to actress/singer Deborah Falconer.

“It [doesn’t] really matter if it’s a boy or a girl,” Miller added. “What really matters is that the baby is healthy.”

Robert is currently filming The Avengers with Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.

I just love Robert Downey Jr!!. His amazing come back and the love for his family should set an example for all of Hollywood. The old saying, "If you fall down rise up taller". Congrats to Robert and Susan!
