Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez -- they’re all coming back to American Idol next year.

Jackson buried the lead in his chat with George Lopez on Lopez Tonight Thursday, throwing out some big news only toward the end of the interview.

“We’ll all be back next year, we'll all be back!” Jackson said of he, Tyler and J.Lo.

The interview began with Jackson saying that Lauren Alaina gutting it out through sickness on the eve of American Idol's finale made an impact with him, as he’s been there himself.

Jackson said that in performing, Alaina -- who finished in second place to winner Scott McCreery after a record-122 million votes were cast -- proved to the audience "that the show has to go on.

"The drama kind of got crazy, they thought they would have to bring [third-place finisher] Hailey [Reinhart] in," Jackson told George Lopez, adding that he thought Alaina "turned it around" and "won the night."

The music business veteran said he could relate, as he's "been sick many times on the road, physically.”

Jackson brought up "one night out with the [band] Journey" which he paid dearly for the next day, throwing up in a bucket "every 20 minutes" during the show.

"I was suffering from food poisoning ... or something ... or it could have been a combination of things," Jackson said coyly.

"Did Paula leave any brownies out?" Lopez asked.

Lopez Tonight airs on TBS weeknights at midnight/11c.
