Matt Damon clearly relishes one role above the rest -- that of father.

The doting dad was giving -- and getting -- plenty of love and affection from his family as they celebrated Jennifer Garner's 39th birthday in Pacific Palisades, California on Sunday.

The Oscar-winner, with his beautiful wife Luciana, was seen doting on his adorable daughters Isabella, Gia and baby Stella.

The beanie-clad Rounders star brought his brood to meet up with Garner, her hubby (and Matt's best friend) Ben Affleck, and their children, Violet and Seraphina, on the beautiful Southern California Sunday.

I see Matt with his wife & daughter together all the time here at South Beach and always seem to be in great spirits. Im glad to see at least one Hollywood A-Lister who has his priorities straight and good family values.
