Forget Bruce Oldfield, Sarah Burton and Victoria Beckham. Kate Middleton's bridal gown is being designed by Sophie Cranston of the Libelulu label.
Cranston, 34, has been a rising star but is still a relatively unknown name; that is until now, thanks to the Huffington Post which broke the story.

Sophie was given the Designer of the Year Award at London's Graduate Fashion Week in 1999 and later honed her design skills under the late Alexander McQueen.
Kate Middleton has long been a fan. She wore one of Cranston's designs to a wedding last January.

The black velvet coat dress with diamante clasp Kate wore that day did not receive nearly as much attention as some of the other outfits she's been photographed in, but Kate was obviously sold.
Since launching her Libelulu label in 2002, Cranston has attracted a handful of other famous followers, including Harry Potter's Emma Watson.
