It must have been love at first sight!

Actress and outspoken environmentalist Amy Smart is engaged to HGTV’s gorgeous Carter Oosterhouse after dating for just five months.

The couple met at a green charity event in November 2010, and hunky Oosterhouse popped the question earlier this week to the 35-year-old star.

“It happened four days ago,” a source told Us Weekly, who broke the news. “He proposed in L.A. It was a very big surprise but she is thrilled and is very excited. They are a good pair and very in sync with each other.”

Smart revealed the news Thursday night and said her engagement to her super cute guy is “very new” and “very exciting.”

"He's an eco-carpenter; Amy drives a hybrid and is the greenest girl I know,” a source told the magazine. “They are perfect for each other."

The source added: "Here are two wholesome, kind, sweet Midwestern types. Neither has sold out and gone Hollywood."

i know this family and these boys are about the biggest loads in existence. their mexican mommy and vitamin selling daddy didn't train them very well. they are uneducated, arrogant idiots.
