VIDEO PREVIEW: Kate Gosselin's Mini-Meltdown On Sarah Palin's Alaska

While last night's episode of TLC's Sarah Palin's Alaska saw the family go on a hunting trip, we were far more intrigued by the preview of next week's episode, which features the Palin clan getting a visit from another reality TV family, the Gosselins.

In the episode, Kate Gosselin notes her common bonds with Palin, saying "There's not a whole lot of people that I run into that can understand the scrutiny [from] the media and beyond."

While drawn to Palin, Kate clearly was out of her element in the preview of her trip to the great outdoors, as the 35-year-old mother-of-eight looks uncomfortable during a bear safety class, a trip to the firing range and camping in the rain.
Once camping, Kate let viewers in on her “freezing-to-the-bone” misery as she vents like a displaced city girl.

"The kids are having fun, so I'm tolerating it," the Wernersville, Pennsylvania native said.
The episode featuring Kate airs Sunday, December 12 at 9/8c on TLC; her new book, America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag, is in stores now.

Sidney, you posted in a reply to me, that only a counselor hired by the court has to report abuse. Have you heard of a law passed, called "Duty to Warn". All counselors have a duty to warn if a person is in clear or imminent danger.

*Duty to warn* is when a therapist/counselor believes a patient is in danger of harming himself or others.
I think you mean *mandated* reporter.

No ... I said the counselor wasn't obligated to report to the *JUDGE* what was going on with the kids unless hired by the court. Counselors are mandated reporters and obligated to report abuse but rarely report emotional abuse.

I have to ask this...... how can you claim to know whether counselors rarely report emotional abuse?

I just do. I don't think it's a good idea to post personal info on this board given what some people do with it. :)

The judge also takes into consideration any reports that have been done at an earlier date also. The kids did have counseling while the divorce was in process and the counselors report from that time also would be considered.

Proof that the kids were in counseling. There you go again making stuff up Lexxi. Just because Kate said they were/are in counseling does not make it so.

But it also doesnt prove she is lying about it. No one knows for sure what the truth is. Hopefully she isnt lying and they are all getting counseling.

It's not made up moonshadow. That's what the Kate haters do. They make up one lie after another Yes Kate did say on several interviews last year that the kids were receiving professional counseling dealing with the divorce.

That would only come into play if Jon was fighting for custody. My understanding is that he was NOT therefore it would not have been relevant testimony. :)
