Actress Mena Suvari happily chatted with RadarOnline.com at the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards with the Palazzo Las Vegas in Los Angeles where she revealed her plans to start a family.

When asked if she wanted children, the 31-year-old cheerfully told RadarOnline.com: "I want kids!"

She and husband Simone Sestito, who were married on June 26, this year, are hoping to have a child soon.

"Oh yes, most definitely. Maybe another year or so," Suvari told RadarOnline.com.

"I have a few things I want to get settled before. It's a big step. There's time I want to take off."

Suvari, who wore a body-fitting black and silver dress, attended the award show Sunday to support other celebrities being honored.

RadarOnline.com also learned that the American Beauty star has a tattoo fetish, and she has a beautiful lion's head tattooed on the back of her neck.

When asked what the significance of the lion's head, she said: "They're very personal; all of my tattoos are."

The actress was more chatty when asked what she and her husband are planning for Christmas.

"We're going to take a road trip and visit a city we've never been to," she said.

"We're going to explore. But most importantly, we're going to be together."
