Michael C. Hall's wife and Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter has formally filed for divorce and RadarOnline.com has the official documents.
DIVORCE DOCUMENTS: Dexter Stars Jennifer Carpenter And Michael C. Hall Split Months Ago
The documents, filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, lists their date of separation as August 9 though they only announced their split this week.

Carpenter cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and is asking that Hall pay their legal fees, is requesting spousal support and is requesting that Hall's rights to spousal support be waived.

The couple married in 2008 and have no children.

It is very unlikely she will get spousal support. They had a short marriage, she continued to work throughout the marriage, her salary was / is well above average, & no children were involved.. Ridiculous! She does sound like a woman scorned.

strange stuff...........I know he has been a star much longer than her and he must have the majority of the money...but after just two years...I don't think she should be entitled to anything in the line of support.

He ws sick and battling cancer all summer....i can't imagine what he could have done to piss her off...the guy was in chemo.

I never understand why these people ask for spousal support. Does she not make enough money? She's either royally pissed at him for something, or she knows that once Dexter is over, so is her career.

I agree. Why would she ask for spousal support? She makes plenty of money. They were married less than two years! It does make you wonder if she is doing this because she very angry at him.
