Jessica Simpson Is Engaged!

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are getting married, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The singer and designer displayed some considerable engagement bling while making an appearance at the Dillard's in Kansas City Saturday, Us reported, in breaking the story.
Jessica's rep is now confirming the happy news. "Happy to confirm that Jessica and Eric are engaged," the rep told RadarOnline.com.
They decided to wed on Thursday, just days after news of Jessica's ex-husband Nick Lachey's engagement to Vanessa Minnillo became public.

Simpson and Johnson have been dating since May, and it was love at first sight for the pair. The former pro football player even gave up his plans to attend grad school in Philadelphia so that he'd be free to travel with Jessica to her many public appearances.
Eric was in the midst of a divorce when he and Jessica first hooked up but that was finalized just a few weeks ago.

She's frequently Tweeted photos of them hugging and kissing but Jess has not yet commented on the engagement report.

I'm in the family and we're devastated over this. We begged her 2 wait 2 announce her engagement it is suspect w Nick n Vanessa. Eric more than likely will have Jess pregnant soon "locked N" with great financial freedom for life. It's all a bit much.

My husband and I only dated for a month before we got engaged and by the month after that we were married. It's been six years and we are still happily married. If it's true love then you just know! Good luck Jessica!

Pre-Nup!! People are skeptical of him because he has no job and finalized his divorce 2 weeks ago. He can go to grad school anywhere, but she constantly needs reassurance so I doubt he'll go. Next thing you know, he'll be her new "manager".
