The 66-year-old actor has been recuperating from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, looking thin and frail, prompting speculation his health has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, despite his appearance the Wall Street 2 actor has mustered up the energy to travel three hours from Manhattan to Pennsylvania to visit his son Cameron in prison.

"He's not going everyday and not as often as he would like, but he is still visiting with him," Douglas’ longtime friend and publicist Allen Burry told RadarOnline.com.
His 31-year-old son is serving time in Lewisburg Federal Prison Camp and is expected to be released in December 2013, but the troubled addict could get out a year early, if he completes a prison drug-treatment program.

If such a God existed then surely MD wouldn't have got cancer in the 1st place...It is the radiotherapy which is more productive in head and neck cancer and is the major cause of his side effects. The chemotherapy boosts the effect of radiotherapy.

He's going to get worse before he gets better. Chemo is horrible, my husband went through 7 wks of chemo years ago and he looked worse I thought the dr was lying to me and then one day he started getting better and in 6 mos he was himself again.

Funnybunny, how wonderful for you and your husband to have survived such a horrific ordeal! That encourages me that there is hope for Michael & that he too, can overcome his recent diagnosis!

Of course he will visit his son. He's a good father, unlike so many other fathers on these sites. He does not look so good. I hope he recovers from this.
