Kourtney Kardashian and her baby boy Mason were rushed to a Los Angeles hospital by ambulance this past Friday night after a health scare, RadarOnline.com reported exclusively.

Only our cameras were there as the unscripted drama unfolded for the popular E! reality television star.

The eleven-month-old Mason gave Kourtney and dad Scott Disick the scare of their lives as paramedics were forced to treat the tiny tot at their Hidden Hills, California, home at around 10pm.

Kourtney revealed Monday that Mason suffered an allergic reaction to peanut butter. And the new mom did the right thing taking him to the hospital; medical literature reveals that food allergies in babies can range from mild to life threatening. Peanuts are one of eight foods that cause 90% of allergies in babies.

And while Kourtney is relieved now on Friday she was worried but kept her composure as our video shows. After a few minutes inside her house, the responding medics decided to take Mason - who was conscious - to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

He was strapped into a gurney in the safe hands of his mother.

Kourtney wrote on Monday: “Mason ate some peanut butter and had a little allergic reaction to it. He threw up within minutes of tasting it and got hives on his face. I called 911 and the fire department came immediately. They suggested that we take him to the hospital, so we did. He was in good spirits the whole time and didn’t even know anything was wrong. He even enjoyed riding in the ambulance. He’s such a good boy!!

“I learned such a lesson with this…to always follow my instincts and call 911. Always better safe than sorry.”

"Scott was terrified," an onlooker told RadarOnline.com about the unfolding events. "He was clearly pretty worried about whatever was going on, but Kourtney was far more in control of the situation."

Initially Kourtney, 31, chose to walk out of their mansion clutching Mason, until paramedics convinced her to sit in the ambulance.

Wide-eyed, Mason watched on and seemed unfazed by all the commotion.

Mason and his first-time mom, the star of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, were then transported to a local hospital, as father Scott followed in his Mercedes Benz sports car.

In a recent interview, Kourtney gushed about motherhood, declaring she was focused on the present and not on the future.

"I really want to enjoy the stage he's at now. I don't look forward and say, 'I can't wait until he's walking.' I want to enjoy right now," she said.
