Demi Lovato Checks Into Rehab For 'Emotional & Physical Issues'

Disney sensation Demi Lovato has entered rehab to seek help for "emotional and physical issues", RadarOnline.com is reporting.
In a statement, the the 18-year-old singer's rep said: "Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time."

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help,” it added, “She is doing just that.”
“[Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

Lovato has walked out on an international concert tour with the Jonas Brothers, as a result.
Concern for Lovato spread last week, when she missed a show and suddenly disappeared from Twitter.

Emotional issues can happen to anyone at any time. Will happen to most of us at one time or another in our lives. Could be triggered by an event(s) or not. Could be genetic as well. Who knows!?! Glad she's getting a helping hand.

Most teens have emotional problems, they just all don't have a pr rep to announce it. Sad, but no surprise, I have a teen and have been tortured watching Lovato - I've always thougt she was a time bomb.

somethin2do, at least she has the sense to get help for her eatting disorder and self mutilation. these are ways people disassociate and try to deal with serious emotional issues.. she is stopping her concert to get help..smart.

I would agree with the sentiment that it's hard to believe someone at 18 needs treatment like this. But the pressure to maintain that squeaky clean Disney image can become a burden on anybody. It has to be somehow related to that.

why is it hard to believe someone at age 18 wouldnt have an eatting disorder and be cutting themselves. especially someone in the public eye.. maybe the denial in our world is why there is so much sickness around us.
