VIDEO: Denise Richards: ‘I Was At The Hospital With Charlie’

Denise Richards has revealed she was at the hospital when her ex-husband Charlie Sheen was placed under psychiatric evaluation.
Speaking to Joy Behar on CNN, the mother of the Hollywood actor's two children said she helped her one-time lover after he flew into a drug-riddled rage when he thought his wallet had been stolen by a hooker whom he was partying with.

“I do know what happened and I did help him at the hospital,” Richards said.

“My daughters are five and six years old. They’re at an age where they can start to understand. They have no idea what went on.”
The couple has two children, Sam, 6 and Lola, 5.

Richards, who was in New York with Sheen and the children, was clearly uncomfortable about the topic and hesitant to reveal too much about the incident.
When asked how the actor was doing, Richards replied: “Maybe I’ll let you ask Charlie.”

The Wild Things star said she and Sheen had been getting along great and were “in an amazing place".
"We’ve been getting along great for the last year and a half and I’m trying to protect the girls from it as much as possible," she said.

But Richards said Charlie is a good father.
“He comes over for dinner, he goes to birthday parties,” she said.

When asked if Charlie has ever showed up drunk to birthday parties, Richards said: “I would never allow that.”

She is very pretty as a brunette. Hope she sets the boundaries and keeps the girls away from him if he is going to continue to use and abuse. Kids should not be near or around an addict or their raging fits. Denise shouldn't either.

Denise keep your girls away from him until he gets/ stays clean Every time you give Him a chance &he's around your girls he blows it. Personally I would not allow my girls around this sick man until he finally gets it together for a long while

I am not fond of this woman but totally respect her unwillingness to dish the dirt on the father of her children..she has developed some class...that Oksana and the likes could learn something from. Good for you Denise.

Gotta feel sorry for Denise having to put up with his crap. She's done a great job with their daughters & awesome that she keeps their father in their lives; can't imagine having to always explain his awful behavior.

She was scheduled to do press in NYC for her new Spike TV show. She isn't trying to milk this, she is being professional and keeping her press commitments despite Charlie's poor behavior.
