Dr. Drew Pinsky has seen many people, including celebrities, go through the ups and downs of addiction and Charlie Sheen’s most recent incident has him concerned that the actor isn’t taking the proper steps to overhaul his life.

"I'm afraid Charlie is going to die. This is just the tip of the iceberg with him,” Pinsky, who has not treated Sheen, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “This truly scares me. I'm saddened and scared for Charlie. Charlie is deeply in his condition."

Pinsky believes that Sheen needs to make different decisions than the ones he made following his December 2009 arrest stemming from an incident with his now-estranged wife Brooke Mueller.
I'm really sad and surprised that Charlie Sheen went back to work as soon as he did last year. Work is the last thing he needs right now,” Pinsky said.
“Charlie needs least three months of in-patient treatment. His addiction is far worse than anyone knows or realizes."

He added that he believes the Two and a Half Men star’s success is wearing on him and potentially pushing him to make the wrong choices.

“I'm sure Charlie is saying it's okay that he is going back to work. He is feeling the pressure of being on a number one rated television show, and he is minimizing how bad things are. It's a very risky maneuver for him to go back to work, and that situation is going to get a lot worse very quickly."

Doctors make statements about celebs all the time-they usually preface it by saying they aren't treating said celeb, but it happens.
And he is a REAL doctor- he went to, and graduated medical school. You may not care for him but he is physician.

OH shut up Dr. Drew! Charlie got ticked because his wallet was stolen. No drugs or paraphenalia found in the room. Dr. Drew takes every opp. to get his 2 cents put in but does he really help anyone?

Charlie's only problem is his escort services fee just went way up, but he can afford it.

So next time your are ill, don't bother going in to your physician's office for exam or testing. Just ask this doctor what he thinks through ROL. That's how absurd this is. I like him but constantly playing arm chair quarterback is ridiculous/stupid.

If he's not treating Charlie he doesn't have enough info to make an educated assessment here. No physician's do that. It's reckless and unwise.

He believe he's right about Charlie Sheen. I don't think that's the point though. Why speak publicly about him? I like Dr Drew. He's great at what he does. I'd like to hear him explain why he keeps doing this.

Dr. Drew is right on. Charlie Sheen is a hot mess. He won't be satisfied until he ends up like Heath Ledger. He's hiding the extent of his addiction from family, friends, his employer. But the truth always outs.

Im not a fan of his now but I agree he's spot on with this one but it doesnt take a doctor to see that. As usual the kids of these messed up celebs will pick up the tab and act them out as they get older. Sad. Very sad.

If Dr. Drew is a real Doctor, he would refrain from talking about a person he's never met. The only thing we know
about Charlie Sheen is whats printed on pages like these. Notorious for exaggerating or down right making things up.
