VIDEO: Mariah Carey Finally Confirms She's Pregnant; Reveals Past Miscarriage

Told ya so.
Mariah Carey finally confirmed Thursday what RadarOnline.com first reported this past summer: that she’s pregnant with her first child with hubby Nick Cannon.
In a story airing on NBC's The Today Show, Carey told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush: "Yes, we are pregnant. This is true."

Carey, 40, added: "It's been a long journey... it's been tough... we've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy."
Carey, speaking from inside her Manhattan home, told Bush she was "always career-minded" and "had never considered this with any other relationship."
The Hero singer said she's expecting in the spring, but wouldn't give any further details.

“It’s absolutely emotional,” Cannon, 30, said. “The greatest gift on earth is a child. We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that.”
Carey also revealed that she had been pregnant before - a few years ago - but had suffered a miscarriage.
“It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult,” Carey told Bush about the miscarriage. “When that happened... I wasn't able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy.”

The Vision of Love singer also said she doesn't know if the child’s a boy or girl as they want to wait to find out. She said she and Cannon conceived naturally.
As we reported in early June, Carey (in anticipation of her pregnancy) passed up a role in Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls. On Wednesday's edition of The View, gorgeous actress Thandie Newton, who eventually landed the role, almost jumped the gun when she speculated on the singer's on-goings.
"I think she is pregnant," Newton said. "Or something major is going on in her life, so I carried the baton for her. I only had two days to make a decision to play it."
Carey's new disc, Merry Christmas II You, is due out November 2.

I'm so happy for them! She probably gained weight from fertility drugs if she was on them...but it doesn't matter. I think she looks great and will be a great mom. She and Nick are so cute together.

Maybe she gained weight because she's taking fertility drugs. People should butt out. We don't know when she's due, how pregnant she is, if she is using help to get pregnant etc. If she wanted us to know, she'd call us and tell us about it.

uh she said it's still early so it's probably 3 1/2 months. besides your actually supposed to gain 5-7 pounds in the first trimester and pound a week in the second and third if your of normal weight god bless them and their baby

By medical definition most people who think they are just a bit heavy are actually obese..so when you read about the medical implications of obesity you should know what it really means to be obese.

Wait...is this Maura Kelly from Marie Claire Magazine??? She hates fat people to because she's anorexic and thinks bones with skin hanging off them is sexy and only those people who are underweight have a right to live.

400 pounds is morbid obesity..not just obese. Educate your self folks you will live much longer healthier lives. No wonder cancer and heart disease is rampant...people lie to themselves all the time.

FYI...the definition of obesity is being is being 20 percent over your ideal weight or a BMI of 30 or over. The girl is clearly more than 20 percent over ideal. Not being mean...just honest.
