So far so good for Bristol Palin, who survived her first week of Dancing With The Stars with an 18-point cha-cha-cha.

We caught up with the 19-year-old daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her professional partner Mark Ballas following the show, and got their takes after an opening week that was surprisingly smooth for Palin, who’s admittedly inexperienced as a dancer.

Palin  told our Tina Malave that she could relax "until next week," as Ballas said the couple --  headed back to Palin's native Alaska for another week of practice -- would be working extra hard since "the red light could be hitting anybody at [any] time."

Ballas told RadarOnline.com exclusively that next week's dance is going to differ wildly from the hip-shaking moves Palin showed off in her debut, incorporating moves dependent on smoothness, speed and balance.

"Its going to be a challenge as well," Ballas told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "I think she's gonna tackle it very well."

Palin told RadarOnline.com exclusively that her first week on the show made for "an exciting feeling.

"It was fun to get out there with a dance like the cha-cha-cha," she said.

Dancing With The Stars returns on ABC next Monday at 8/7c.

i think she did very well - ESPECIALLY for a young girl who never danced - she's refreshing.

Bristol's a great role model for any unwed teen who gets knocked up by her boyfriend. Doesn't hurt to have a teabagging famous mother either. It's the only reason she is on the show.

Wow! Bristol looks great! What does a score of 18 mean? I don't watch the show.

She's cute and working hard to support her son. After giving birth as a teen, she still graduated with her class from high school, has a job, and takes college courses. I hope she stays for weeks as DWTS pays better than an office job.
