"Even though the water was cold, nothing can compare to what little Sophia is going through," Terri Hatcher tells RadarOnline.com. "I came out here today to help bring awareness of this disease. Events like this are one of many ways celebrities can bring awareness for different causes. Anything I can do to help, count me in."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hatcher's participation in the Triathlon was to raise money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and she was especially taken by the plight of a three-year-old patient, Sophia Rothman, who is suffering from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and has also battled blindness.
Terri finished her half mile swim in an impressive 26 minutes. She didn't participate in the run or bike portions of the event.
She did, however, look amazing in her Xterra wetsuit. "I look good don't I?"" she joked.

Are the snarky comments really necessary when Teri is selflessly giving of herself to help sick kids?

One correction from Sophia's family: CHLA and Dr. Ken Wright saved Sophia's vision, not Teri. What Teri DID do was get up at 4 am and dive into 58 degree water to raise money and awareness for kids with chronic conditions.

Leisurely swimming a half mile with makeup and jewelry is NOT "competing" in a triathlon. Let's just say that I'm very suspicious of her motives.

Good for her, although, it's a little weird she would wear make-up when swimming. Some of these stars take it too far!
