EXCLUSIVE: Child Protection Services Investigation Into Mel & Oksana Will Remain Open

The Department of Children and Family Services investigation into allegations of abuse against Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva regarding their infant daughter Lucia will remain open until approximately Christmas, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
A source close to the situation tells us, "The investigation will remain open out of an abundance of caution for the well being of Lucia. Both Mel and Oksana have been extremely cooperative with DCFS officials.

"They both love her and want nothing but the best for their daughter. DCFS officials have found absolutely no evidence of abuse by either parent directed towards Lucia."
As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively, DCFS officials are unlikely to charge either Mel or Oksana. They were ready to close the investigation, but decided it would be prudent to officially keep it open. The criminal case and family law case are both unresolved.
RadarOnline.com reported exclusively that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office officially received the criminal investigation into Mel on Wednesday.
The Oscar nominated Braveheart star is being investigated on domestic violence charges and Oksana is being looked at on extortion-related charges. The investigation into Mel's allegations that Oksana tried to extort money from him is still being handled by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

Mel and Oksana's next court hearing is scheduled for September 7.

Do you believe in fairy tales too? Honestly, Oksana is historically a compulsive liar. Check her past relationships and interviews prior to this event. No one who really knew her has said anything positive about her especially in Europe.

wheres the artlicle reporting that the sheriff is talking to Mel some more about oksanas extortion attempt. hmmm, whats the matter ROL, cant post anything negative against oksana per your agreement w/ her?

RE: Lauren. Edited Heavily? The "ugly things" Mel said on the phone were threats against Oksana and plain racist. What if there were no tapes. Would you believe Oksana without them? .

I don't believe her WITH them. Now here is the perverse part, if she hadn't released obviously doctored tapes, I would have believed her.

I dont believe her with the tapes She should have HUNG UP the phone. If she felt threatened, she should have called 911. She could have taken the kids and left. This was a set up from the beginning. The tapes are edited they cant be used.

Sometimes its best to just walk away (with $15 mil to boot), for ALL involved. Oksana's trying to make Mel into a danger to Lucia was a major mistake, esp. after the alleged pic of the "bruise" was released.

Yes, Mel may have said some ugly things to Oksana ON THE PHONE which appear to be edited heavily. But there are two sides to the alleged fight and, so far, the evidence is weak that he attacked her in the way claimed.

No abuse by EITHER parent, even after interviewing the "witnesses". CPS must not be buying the baby "briuse" either. Good for them. Oksana must be sweating the outcome of the extortion investigation, as that one has more "teeth" to it.
